REBELS in Manhattan!

This past week Gates sauce flowed through the streets of New York City as I hit the big apple to do press for my new album “WHO THE F#@K IS IRV DA PHENOM?”.  The drive was 20 hours, but soon as we pulled in and saw the dope ass skyline it was worth the 1000, something miles. All I could think about while looking at the incredible view of the skyline was all the movies I watched as a kid “Ninja turtles”, “Spider man”, etc. lol.

 So the week began crazy, the 1^st night was spent running around Time square shooting footage for an upcoming music video til about 6 am. (Shoutout to Wheat City). This is also the day that “WHO THE F#@K IS IRV DA PHENOM?” dropped.

 The following evening I hit the studio with the fam-a-lam from Wichita KS, XV & his producer/engineer (The Awesome Sound). Looking forward to letting you all hear what we created that night. Stay posted.

 Then came the illest day of all. We made our way to the Viacom building & hit the MTV Studios. Before I go any further I just have to thank everyone behind me & D.M.G. even though we have a loooooooooong way to go, we would not have made it this far with out the support & love from the team/listeners/fans. THANK YOU! Alright, back to the story…. So I get to the MTV offices & see where I’ll be sitting for the interview, It overlooks the city & the view is insane. So now we’re all settled in & ready to get it rolling, the homie Rob Markman hands me the mic and its go time… Lol, As soon as he handed me the mic and I looked at the MTV logo on the front of it I had a flash back to being in my room at my parents house writing rhymes & getting yelled at for the music being too loud. I NEVER get nervous before any shows or for any interview, but I wont front that shit gave me butterflies like a mug lol. Once he asked me the 1^st question I snapped back to reality and it was pretty much smooth sailing from there.

 The rest of my time in NY was spent going corner to corner slanging the new album, meeting with friends & allies, trying hella different pizza spots & kicking it!

It was the shit!
